In Development Brain-Bending iPhone & iPad Privacy First Coming Soon

Traceflux

Tap an arrow. It slides the way it points until it leaves the board or bumps into something. Clear all of them. That is the whole rule — everything after it is order. Sixty-five boards across six chapters, from a single arrow on a 5×5 grid to ten overlapping routes on a 10×10 under a move budget.

Traceflux is still in development and is not on the App Store yet. The screenshots and details below are from the current build and may change before release.

One Rule, Then Order

Tap an Arrow. It Slides.

An arrow moves the way it points until it leaves the board or bumps into something. Clear every one of them. There is no second rule to learn and nothing else on screen competing for your attention.

Work It Out Instead of Guessing

Press and hold any arrow and its route lights up — all the way off the edge, or stopping at whatever is in the way. Let go to commit, or slide your thumb away to change your mind.

A Wrong Guess Costs Nothing

Tapping a blocked arrow costs you nothing at all. It bumps, it shows you what stopped it, and you keep thinking. Only the taps you commit to are ever counted.

Six Chapters That Teach as They Tighten

First Light teaches the tap, one idea per board. Quiet Drift fills the board out. Spinwork adds rotators that re-aim when blocked, Lockstep adds arrows that open only once others have gone, One Way Out adds edges that release only matching arrows, and Squeeze puts it all on a strict move budget.

Every Mechanic Gets Its Own Board First

Board one is a single arrow on a 5×5 grid. By the end you are untangling ten overlapping routes on a 10×10 under a move budget — but nothing new ever turns up in a crowd before it has had a small board to itself.

Scored on Efficiency, Not Perfection

Three stars means you solved it in par taps or fewer. Exploring is free, undo is always available, and restarting a board never costs anything.

Zen Mode and a Daily Board

Zen mode drops the scoring and the budget and hands you unlimited hints. Alongside it there is a Daily Challenge and a streak worth keeping. Hints are earned by showing up, and are never sold.

Built to Be Used

Full Dynamic Type, VoiceOver on the board arrow by arrow with what each tap would do, three colour-vision palettes where touching routes never share a colour, Reduce Motion and a Reduced Flash option, and a left-handed layout that mirrors the on-board controls.

Quiet by Design

No ads. No account. No timer running while you think. Every board ships inside the app, so it works with no signal at all. The only things for sale are two optional themes and reserve hearts, and every board can be finished without spending anything.

iPhone and iPad

Controls sit at the bottom of the screen where your thumb already is, and the board plays in every orientation on iPad.

Support Is Ready

Traceflux has not launched yet, but questions about launch timing, the boards you can see above, or anything else can already flow through the support channel below.
