Mirrors redirect a beam in a single direction, while prisms split or reroute light into multiple color paths. Some levels require every target to be lit with the correct color before the puzzle is considered solved.

Yes. Completed levels can be replayed so you can improve your solution, experiment with different routes, or revisit earlier mechanics at any time.

Open the Settings tab in Refract. Sound effects and haptics each have their own toggle. Refract plays no music of its own — its chimes are mixed so that whatever you are already listening to keeps playing.

Yes. Turn on Colorblind assist in the Settings tab and every beam colour is given its own distinct shape, so no puzzle information depends on colour alone. Refract also supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion.

Finishing a board earns the first star, solving it within the move budget earns the second, and a clean run — inside par plus two, with no hints and without clearing the board — earns the third. Taking a mirror back off the grid is always free and never counts against you. Hints come in two stages: the first marks the cell, the second places the mirror, and only the first one charges.

No. Every level ships inside the app and your progress is stored on your device, so Refract plays fully offline. The only network traffic is Apple's StoreKit, used when you make or restore an App Store purchase.

Open the Daily tab. The board there is built for that date rather than pulled from the campaign, it is the same one everyone gets that day, and it resets at midnight. Solving it earns bonus coins and gems.

Refract stores progress locally on your device. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device without restoring from a full iOS backup, previous progress may not be recoverable.
