Overview
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Calmly: Focus Timer ("the App"), developed by Pixel Workshop LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles your information. The short version: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data.
Information We Do Not Collect
Calmly does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically, the App does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
- Any focus session history, goals, streaks, or productivity data sent to us
Data Stored on Your Device
All data generated by Calmly — including your session history, timer preferences, presets, goals, streaks, imported audio choices, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be removed from your device.
Notifications and Live Activities
Calmly may request permission to send local notifications to alert you when a focus session or break ends. These are local notifications scheduled on your device — they are not sent through any external server, and no information is transmitted when a notification fires.
You can revoke notification permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Calmly.
Live Activities and Dynamic Island display timer state on your own device using Apple system features. We do not receive this information.
Imported Audio and Apple Features
If you choose to import your own ambient audio tracks, those files and their references remain under your control on your device. Calmly does not upload imported audio to our servers.
Calmly may also use Apple system features such as Siri Shortcuts and Apple Watch connectivity to control or reflect your timer state across your devices. We do not use these features for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Third-Party Services
Calmly does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and it does not send your focus data to Pixel Workshop servers.
Children's Privacy
Calmly does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by not collecting any personal information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
